Studio A is the name and being Aces of video, animation and design is the game. We have a talented team of creators, storytellers and strategists that make the magic happen out of our homebase on 110 Wolf Road, Suite 101. Although we are located in upstate New York, we have work from all over.
At the international level, we’ve worked with tech companies such as Infinidat and Ideagen. We also work with clients local to the Albany area, like The Anderson Group and the Saint Gregory’s School. Beyond Albany, we work with companies with large brands regularly, including names like the University of South Florida and events held by the Public Employees Federation of New York State.

Rich Akullian
Creative Director
SUNY Geneseo
Rich is our founder and creative director that saw the vision for Studio A years before we moved our equipment in. Starting with one camera and one computer, Rich made his dreams come true one edit at a time. Now, in a studio with full capabilities for professional video, audio and editing capabilities to master all elements of video, animation and design, the work has only begun.
When he’s not working on a creative project, Rich can be found either playing indoor soccer, or watching his Tottenham Spurs.
Danny Passante
Story Production Assistant
Ithaca College
Coming from the Park School of Communications at Ithaca College, Danny became an Ace less than a month later. Danny focused on journalism and broadcasting in school, earning a degree in Sports Media. At Studio A, Danny is a production assistant on video shoots, the in-house writer, and a video editor.
Outside of Studio A, Danny works on ESPN Plus broadcasts for UAlbany and Siena College and spends his Sundays trying to survive Buffalo Bills football games.
Sophia Eifler
Social Media Marketing Coordinator
University at Albany
Sophia makes and executes plans for client social media strategies and other online communications. After earning an M.A. in communications right around the corner from Studio A at UAlbany, Sophia joined our team. Sophia came to the U.S. from Germany to play soccer for the Great Danes. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and supporting FC Bayern Munich. Sophia is excited to be part of the dynamic team on Wolf Road.
Noah Miller
Marketing Account Coordinator
Houghton University
Noah is the glue that holds Akullian Creative’s systems and strategies together on projects. After graduating from Houghton University, Noah came to Studio A, a nice commute from his home in Glenmont. During his time at Houghton University, Noah started a successful design agency, one of the first profitable businesses completely run by students on campus. A devoted Indianapolis Colts fan, Noah is thrilled to collaborate with the Akullian team at Studio A and produce excellent work for clients, who will in turn create great things for their customers.
Andrew Celmins
Filmmaker

When you come across work done by Akullian Creative and think “wow, that looks great,” chances are Andrew has something to do with that. As an award winning storyteller and artist, Andrew is our filmmaker in Studio A that uses film as his medium to bring beauty into the world. Away from Studio A, Andrew’s family, friends and faith bring a smile to his face.
Julia Norelli
Audio Engineer
Ithaca College
Julia is our expert in all things audio. With experience in sound recording, mixing, mastering and live sound, Julia knows how to make things sound great. During her time at Ithaca College, Julia was President of the Audio Engineering Society while she earned her degree in Sound Recording Technology from the Whalen School of Music.
Julia is an audio engineer in the Albany area, working in The Egg and other creative projects, including locally produced films. Outside of work, Julia enjoys making art, either through painting or making music, and spending time with her cat, Norah.

We’re not happy to be in Studio A… we’re overjoyed. Our space is exactly what our founder Rich has always dreamed of, not only because it houses our equipment and Aces, but it is perfectly customizable for all of our expert needs. Read about all the features of our studio here:
Video Production
Studio A is a spaceship, the inside of a car, a black background for an on-camera speaker, a jungle, a living room… you get the idea. With all the video production experience we have under our belts before we even moved in, there is nothing we can’t accomplish in Studio A. We can make our studio into anything and everything you need for your creative video project… literally, anything.

Animation & Design
We love to make things look good. When a story needs to be told through means other than a classic testimonial or on-camera speaking style, it means we need to turn to our animating and designing skills.
The Aces have told plenty of stories through animating and bringing an abstract concept and storyboard to life, take a look for yourself.

Audio Production
Studio A is the home of Studio V, our professional vocal booth created by us from sound panels. Not only does it look good, but it sounds great! After adding some equipment to our booth, we now have a full setup.
